Specializing in World War 2 Aircraft, Pre-WW2 and Post-WW2.
This web site was put together as a labor of love for my son and I, to showcase the aircraft models that we have built over the years and continue to build. I have been interested in aircraft model building since childhood with a particular interest in WW2 aircraft, and in particular, the history of the B-17 Flying Fortress. My son has a bit more varied interest that goes beyond WW2 aviation and together over the years we have put together many authentic replicas.
We use commercially available plastic model kits along with correct readily available Federal Standard paint finishes using much reference material such as commercially available books, magazines and actual photos of real aircraft subjects where ever available.
I have been a long member of the IPMS (International Plastic Modelers society), 8th Air Force Historical Society and the 305th Bomb Group Memorial Association. From 1978 to 1988 I was also a volunteer tour guide during the restoration of the 91st Bomb Group, B-17G-35-BO “Shoo Shoo Shoo Baby” (Air Forces Serial Number 42-32076). More to come on this subject.
